We've also made advances in our twice-closing mechanism so the lid closes silently and efficiently. Our patented technology infrared sensor detects motion within ten inches. The sensor made it possible that you no longer have to have contact with the dirty trash can. We've taken away the pedals and the pushing/lifting of the lid to truly avoid you from germs. The distance and angle of the sensor has been tested over thousands of times to ensure that it would be the best possible. All of our trash cans are battery operated. Our technicians worked with physicists to find the best energy saving formula and designed our mechanism to specifications. With one change of batteries, it will run for more than 10,000 open and closes, the equivalent to a year of usage.
