It has been scientifically tested by U.S. and European scientists and proven to be a most effective deterrent. This product is non-poisonous and will not kill or harm animals. It is rain resistant and highly effective for home gardens. 100% guarantee when used as directed. How to Use Best Deer Repellent
Best Deer Repellent is the only deer and rabbit repellent expressly developed for the home gardener. It is instantly prepared in ready-to-use formulations from two convenient size concentrates - just add it water and it's ready to go! You simply mix the concentrate in the appropriate amount of water (1 quart or 1 gallon) and add it to your trigger or pump sprayer. It is highly effective when sprayed on the stems and leaves of flowers, ornamental shrubs and trees, evergreens, hedges, buds, and grasses but it is not designed for use on vegetables, fruits or other foods. Spray early - once animals feed on a garden it is more difficult to dissuade them from returning than it is to prevent them from ever starting. Repeat spraying as necessary. In warm weather, when plants are rapidly growing, spray every few weeks or as necessary to maintain effectiveness. Best Deer Repellent resists rain after drying but repeat spraying after heavy rain. Does Best Deer Repellent Work With Other Garden Pests? Yes - it will frighten away other garden pests such as rabbits, elk, moose, opossums and other critters that like to come and feed on your garden. Does Best Deer Repellent Harm the Animals? No - It only frightens them away. If they should eat any of the sprayed garden areas (not very likely!) it would not harm them. Is Best Deer Repellent Safe for Kids and Pets? Yes - it is made from completely natural ingredients and is safe for everybody and everything. How Does Best Deer Repellent Work? It works using smell to generate a fear-based response associated with preditors. Smell based deterents has been studied and shown to be the most effective way to discourage deer, rabbits, and similar garden pests from eating up your hard work. Their sense of smell is much better than ours - especially for things that serve as warning signs to them. The active ingredient is dried blood from animals such as cows, pigs, and chickens which is collected and specially prepared during their processing for food. We can't smell it but they can and it frightens them away. Does Best Deer Repellent Have a Bad Smell? Not to us! It has a barely detectable odor at all to humans. But deer, rabbits, and similar garden pests certainly can smell it and it frightens them away by generating a fear-based response because they associate the active ingredient (dried blood) with predators. Does Best Deer Repellent Have Animal Urine or Other Obnoxious Ingredients? No - there are no ingredients such as bob cat urine, coyote urine, putrescent eggs, garlic, pepper, or other obnoxious ingredients. The only active ingredient is dried blood from animals such as cows, pigs, and chickens that were prepared as food and which most people can't even smell. Is Best Deer Repellent Environmentally Friendly? Yes - it is prepared completely from all natural products (dried blood) and water. Is Best Deer Repellent Registered With US EPA? No - it is not necessary to register Best Deer Repellent under EPA's Pesticide Registration progam because our product is a natural and benign material. EPA has evaluated our label and our Product & Usage Fact Sheet and concluded that Best Deer Repellent meets the requirements of exemption under Section 25(b) as published in the Federal Register, March 6, 1966. The precise wording to be used in describing this exemption is, "This product has not been registered by the United States Environmental Protection Agency. Best Deer Repellent, LLC represents that this product qualifies for exemption from registration under the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act." Is Best Deer Repellent Rain Resistant? Yes - light rains may wash part of the product off of the plants but the remainder of it continues to deter deer and rabbits from your garden. However, a heavy rain or persistant rains may wash off too much of it so that repeat spraying is then required. Thus, Best Deer Repellent is "rain resistant" but it is not "rain proof." What is Covered Under the Guarantee? We guarantee that if you use Best Deer Repellent following directions that it will be effective in frightening deer and rabbits away from your garden. You must apply it as frequently as warrented by the weather and growing conditions. You should first test the fitness of Best Deer Repellent to determine the suitability of it for your purposes and then use it accordingly. If you are not satisified with the product then we will refund your money upon your mailing us your receipt of purchase and the reason that you are not satisfied with it. You assume all risks of use or handling of Best Deer Repellent and the only liability of Best Deer Repellent, LLC, if any, for any action arising from use of Best Deer Repellent shall be limited to replacement of the Best Deer Repellent product that was purchased. Are There Places Where Best Deer Repellent Should Not Be Sprayed? Yes, do not spray on wood, concrete, and similar building materials that could be stained. Being composed of dried blood, those porous materials may be stained if the product is sprayed on them. Likewise, clothing may be stained by the product. If that happens then wash the clothing with club soda water while it is still wet. It may also be necessary to wash the stained clothing with detergent following instructions for washing the clothing that came with it. Often, but not always, blood stains may be removed using these washing techniques. Can Vegetable Gardens Be Sprayed With It? Even though Best Deer Repellent is not toxic and is safe for kids and pets we are not allowed to advertise or to say that it may be used on vegetable gardens because dried blood is not exempt for use on foods - it is only exempt for flowers, trees, shrubs, etc. Therefore, we must advise that, under the current EPA exemption policy, Best Deer Repellent should not be used on vegetable gardens. If this EPA policy should change then we will revise this recommendation.
